VR8 is a high-tech research facility for virtual reality equipment used to operate heavy machinery construction equipment. The compound consists of: Private research areas, Open collaborative workspaces, Equipment testing areas (VR), Heavy machinery testing areas, and heavy machinery underground storage.

The center is located in a former industrial manufacturing area that is now primarily residential and with regards to this context seeks to engage the public by providing open work areas for collaboration with professionals, as well as serve as an auditorium to offer information on virtual reality.
